TOURNAMENT RULES Approved by

Ontario Fishing Club of the Deaf

1. Entrants must be an angler of the Ontario Fishing Club of the Deaf.

2. Entrants must pay twenty-five dollar (25.00) fee before participating at each
    OFCD tournament.

3. 90% of registration at each tournament is given to 1st, 2nd, 3rd place winners. Admission is
     split 1/3 for Bass, Pike & Walleye.

4. Anglers are to sign waiver form protecting OFCD from any liabilities at OFCD
     tournaments.

5. Anglers must have their Ontario Recreational Fishing License (Ministry of Natural
     Resources) before paying fee at each OFCD tournament.

6. Anglers must follow Ontario and Federal Boating regulations at all times.

7. OFCD Tournament/Anglers must follow the Ontario Recreational Fishing guides
     which are published annually (Limit of fish catch, length of fish, etc.).

8. OFCD will post on their website (ofcd.net) and flyers at beginning of New Year on
     host sites and type of fish to be caught.


9. OFCD Tournament time are as follows:

     May                Friday            12:00pm – 10:00pm
                            Saturday        5:00am – 10:00pm
                            Sunday          5:00am – 12:00pm

     June, July, & August

                             Friday            12:00pm – 9:00pm
                             Saturday        5:00am – 9:00pm
                             Sunday          5:00am – 12:00pm

     September     Friday            12:00pm – 7:30pm
                             Saturday        5:00am – 7:30pm
                             Sunday          5:00am – 12:00pm

10. All fish weight will be determined by one (1) OFCD weigh scale at OFCD
       tournaments. (OFCD weigh Station are located at or near docks)

11. No fishing shall be permitted from shore. All fishing must be in boat and 50 yards
       away from OFCD Tournament sites.
 

12. Non-anglers / guests participating on boat with registered angler must be registered.

13. All Bass caught will be measured using OFCD official measurement which is 13
       inches minimum from tip of tail to tip of head. Bass weight will be total weight of
       all Bass (Smallmouth/Largemouth) caught per tournament.
 

14. All Walleye caught will be total weigh caught per tournament.

15. All Pike, Muskie, Trout and Salmon caught during OFCD tournaments
       must be 2lb minimum.

16. Any individuals wishing to observe tournaments without paying OFCD
       registration is welcome. They are to sign waiver form protecting OFCD from any
       liabilities at OFCD tournaments.

17.
Angler wishing to keep fish caught during tournament – Gills must be punctured by an OFCD
       Board member.

18.  Lunker fish prize will be 10.00 dollars per registered angler. Winner of biggest Lunker wins
      100% cash collected for Lunker category.

19. If Pike/Musky caught by angler any OFCD Board member can weigh immediately to allow
       live release.

20. There will be no carry over cash from one tournament to next tournament. Cash must be
      100% spent during each tournament. Example if no pike caught all money will be increased
       to Bass/Walleye prizes.

15. OFCD Board has the authority to suspend OFCD angler if they in any way break
       OFCD Tournament Rules and/or Ontario Recreational Fishing regulations.



Tournament Rules for Children

1. Children (1 or more) under the age of 13 and whose parents have paid entry fee of
     25.00 are eligible for children prizes.

2. If children bring friends under the age of 13 of another parent they are eligible to
     win prizes but are required to pay 25.00 each for entry fee.

3. Parents are responsible to teaching their children to abide by the OFCD Rules
     and Ontario Recreational Fishing rules listed in annual guides.

4. Children tournament will be held on Saturdays at OFCD events.

5. Children will be permitted to fish either from boat and/or shore.

6. Official weighing for children catches - catch any type of fish and keep record of
     fish count. All fish to be caught and release.

7. Parents are responsible to supervising their children and/or children’s friends
    when participating at children fishing tournaments.

8. Children prizes will be based on 1st, 2nd, 3rd place. May be more depending on
     number of prizes to be given.
